Indian Summer…

The summer Holidays are over…

It’s back to normality, back to school and back to routine.

It was a pleasure to welcome back so many of our regular guests over the summer.

I just wish the weather had been a bit better, but hey ho!

Guests still had a fantastic time and the reviews have been better than ever.

My personal highlights from the Summer included; A Killers gig in Edinbrugh, The Blackpool Airshow, A family get together in my native Derbyshire, my mum’s 60’s, and time spent with my little ones.

Alice (soon to be 7 – present suggestions welcomed) is really in to her gymnastics at the moment.

She’s constantly watching it on Youtube and practicing her handstands and cartwheels.

Arthur (5), is really in to his football since we got some goals in the garden.

We signed him up to a team recently…

When I told him, he innocently asked ‘Is it Paris Saint-Germain?’.

He looked very dissapointed when I let him know they hadn’t come knocking just yet…

‘Is it Manchester United then?’

Again, nope, not come knocking yet! lol.

It’s ‘Kirkham Junior Under 6’s’ I informed him…

He looked very underwhelmed.

But he has enjoyed his first couple of weeks, and I said I’d help coach which he’s looking forward to.

Back to the site and we’re trying something a little different this coming Friday (15th Sept)..

Lots of guests comment on how peaceful and tranquil the site is, so we thought, how can we enhance that?

The answer…

Mayan Lodge Retreat.

For around 2 hours on Friday evening, we’re handing over the main lodge to ‘Mayan Retreats’ a local health & wellbeing company.

In their own words:

“We will be opening the retreat with a cleansing ritual before getting our bodies flowing in a gentle yoga class hosted by the beautiful @youryogagal ~ Megan.

This will be a beginners class suitable for all abilities.

Then you can relax into a blissful guided meditation to ease the overactive mind. Along side the meditation from @thehealgoodfactor

& Reiki to unblock your chakaras, ensuring you leave with full body alignment.

Finished off with a sharing circle, oracle cards, refreshments & blue lotus tea, this helps with sleep aid, helps opens the third eye Chakara and enhances creativity.

Start time – 6.30pm

£35 per person for the class.

To stay over, Pods are the usual £85 or Bell Tents £125 – although if it’s just yourself (single person occupancy) we will half the accomodation rate for you.

Just hit reply if you’d like to book on – places are limited as there’s literally only so much space in the lodge.

If it goes well, we’ll be sure to host more similar events in the future
